46.0 SHA512SUMS missing win32/en-US/Firefox Setup

Post by FireFoxCustomWannabe »

46.0 http://archive.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/ ... SHA512SUMS is missing the checksums for win32/en-US/Firefox Setup.

45.0.1 has the checksums in http://archive.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/ ... SHA512SUMS

Also note that if you try to open the http://archive.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/ ... SHA512SUMS file, it tries to save it as a file, a SHA512SUMS.mov file, which is really bizarre.

I can open http://archive.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/ ... SHA512SUMS in firefox itself, so something really strange is going on.

btw - with 45.0.1 I could copy the link to the exe http://archive.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/ ... 45.0.1.exe and paste the url into this page, to get the checksum for the file http://hash.online-convert.com/sha512-generator and then find the checksums in http://archive.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/ ... SHA512SUMS

I cannot do this for 46.0 http://archive.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/ ... 2046.0.exe

James - it said that issue was RESOLVED FIXED on 4/29, but ... the checksum file is still messed up. Thanks!

From the looks of it, it is "fixed" for FF 47.

And then there was this bug, Bug 1267715 - Please replace 46.0 checksums files, also "fixed", but if I'm reading correctly what was fixed with that was to include hashes for "XPI files" (.xpi), which presumably were not there (initially - but now are). So that bug does not deal with the missing .exe hashes.

So two "fixed" bugs, & yes, still no "correct" SHA512SUMS file - in the expected location.
(At the least, you would think they'd include a link to the location of the "correct" [more full] hash file.)

Hmm.

An oddly, at least from the file size, it would appear the SHA512SUMS for FF 46.0.1 will be correct.
Or at least in the /candidates/ directory. http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/cand ... es/build1/
(Suppose whether that carries over once things ends up in /release/, we'll just have to wait & see ;-).)
Fire 750, bring back 250.

Better, http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/46.0.1/SHA512SUMS :-).
(And to top it off, they must have changed the "content type", or whatever that is, so that file can now open directly in the browser window rather then having to download or to use -view-source:.)
