First Party Isolation should be ON by default

Post by billysielu »

First Party Isolation is an absolutely necessary privacy feature. Firefox is supposed to provide privacy by default, and be opinionated.

Please enable FPI by default.

I have heard concerns about FPI breaking things, but really the only things which break are those abusing the lack of FPI.

Info about FPI for those who don't know:

this forum is free and voluntary maintaining firefox. no mozilla developers present, sorry.
go http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/ instead.
The following items are affected by First-Party Isolation: cookies, cache, HTTP Authentication, DOM Storage, Flash cookies, SSL and TLS session resumption, Shared Workers, blob URIs, SPDY and HTTP/2, automated cross-origin redirects, window.name, auto-form fill, HSTS and HPKP supercookies, broadcast channels, OCSP, favicons, mediasource URIs and Mediastream, speculative and prefetched connections.
ok, in other words: an aluhelmet. i dont see benefit limiting firefox in its features and have wrong shown pages. welcome to the real world of 3rd-party cookies.

It appears you think the independent mozillaZine.org is a part of or run by Mozilla as there is no mozilla.org links on top or bottom like a typical *.mozilla.org page as one of the clues.

Mozilla has their own community support forum at support.mozilla.org btw.
