messenger.xul error

Post by AlexMarquis »

After I install Phoenix 0.4 on a RedHat 8.0 system, the Mozilla icon now starts only Phoenix.
Also, when I try to start Mozilla Mail, I get the error:
"The file /usr/share/phoenix/chrome/packages/messenger/messenger.xul cannot be found.
Please check the location and try again."
If I rename the ~/.phoenix directory, everything Mozilla-related works fine (But Phoenix does not work).

How do I make these two browsers play nice together?

The phoenix executable dir is in /usr/share

Is anyone else seeing this problem? On RH8 running a CVS Phoenix Build (pulled 11-18) and the 1.2b release of Mozilla, I cannot launch Mozilla Mail when Phoenix is running. It produces the error "The file /usr/share/phoenix/chrome/packages/messenger/messenger.xul cannot be found. Please check the location and try again." and then closes Phoenix (and does not open Mozilla Mail).

Any Ideas?

Peace,
will
