Close button on tab bar disappears

using CVS build [2002-11-12] on Linux.

the button disappears on mouseover. It's annoying as hell...
sometimes it doesn't disappear, but then clicking on it doesn't do anything.

This didn't start 'til about 5 minutes ago, but I've been using phoenix for about 3hrs straight.

What theme are you using?

I mainly use the phoenity theme, but it happens on "modern" as well.
