Mikki wrote:mromarkhan, nice!! But not working for me! (I have uninstalled ImageShowHide and ImageLoader): When I click on the "Load image" page reloads (and I see image) but when it finishs page-reload the image is hidding!
P.S. ImageLoad is working fine! And I using it... (but after "Load image" the popup menu on right-click hover image isn't showing!)
ok the problem might be that in the img switch function
it also reloads the page if the user request
so a work around is to create an abstract img switch function
that just switches the setting back and forth,
that is what i did now
so i changed the code again...
and it works but it still displays "read" or "transferring data" on the status bar,
so maybe when it finishes reading it hides the image again,
I do know know since it does not remove that message what I am
testing...maybe for others it might happen...so then i might have to revert
the code again
have a good afternoon.

Are there any extensions that will show/hide one image. Sometimes when I'm browsing from work I come to a site that has one non-appropriate image. It would be nice to disable just that one pic.

I've tried to update this several times (using the Update featire in FF 0.10.1), but I keep ending up with version 0.1.4.3. Any ideas why it keps sending me old versions?

HardinComp, AutoUpdate in FireFox isn't working correctly.
Q: How can I update to the new version
A: 1) Remove/uninstall currently installed version (from Extensions)
2) Restart FireFox
3) Download and install new version
4) Restart FireFox

I suggest to add a mode "Show cached images only" similar to a feature in an Opera.
Thanks Mikki for good extension!

Nice extension.
Is there a way to make the icon smaller without selecting Use Small Icons (because I want my back/forward etc. icons big still)?

Hey, im having a litte problem with your extension. When i installed it, the toolbar button didnt appear, so i went to Customize and find it there. Im using the Icons and Text(Iconos y Texto) option, so when i add the icon to my toolbar an ugly "imgsh" text appear under it. Is there a way to make the text disappear?
Thank you
PD: Sorry for my bad english.

Latest version FF
Same problem for me with your v0.1.4.3 & latest v0.1.4.4.
Can't get rid of image placeholders.
Perhaps you could suggest a fix or what other extensions it might be conflicting with?
thx
I suggest to add a mode "Show cached images only" similar to a feature in an Opera.
I second that request. What I like to do in Opera is, turn the images to cached only. That way you don't get spam, banners, tracking images, etc... My favorite sites such as my email websites, news, slashdot, etc... all look fine b/c the images are hit frequently enough to always be cached. Even w/o images, most sites are easy to navigate. Well, the good ones are; those that use color well and populate the alt="" attribute.
In those cases where I need images, I just hit "g" (in Opera) and the images are loaded for that tab. Which brings me to my second request, can you make the on/off switch be tab specific? Just because I want to load images on news.yahoo.com does not mean I want to start loading images in www.google.com.
Thx.
P.S. for those who may think I am crazy, and you may be right, I do this b/c pages "scream". Even cached images are sometimes downloaded needlessly or the image date/time is checked to see if the cache is stale. And if you are on a https page, the overhead becomes quite large and the speedup is more noticable.
