Classic Compact v29.0a1 (Australis) OS X testing Needed
Classic Compact test build updated 2014-01-01 11:25pm EDT
Classic Compact v25.0 & Classic Compact Options v25.0 now most current on AMO.
CC29 is in alpha testing.
Version 29 will be a complete rebuild of Classic Compact and Classic Compact Options based on FF 29 Australis code. Initially, in the alpha stages of testing v29, Classic Compact Options will not be supported as I first need to stabilize the base theme. This version does require FF29 (currently in Nightly).
v29.0a1 release notes and discussion begin with this post on thread page 77
LATEST BUILDS:
CC25.0: http://environmentalchemistry.com/class ... mbined.xpi
CC29.0a1: http://environmentalchemistry.com/classiccompact.xpi
A very big thank you to EVERYONE who has been helping test CC & CCO. Continued FF support would not be possible without your help.

Re: Need theme tested on Linux and Mac OS/X
I downloaded your theme but I'm afraid I won't be able to test it until tomorrow. You will, though, get my results on a clean Linux profile, promise.
Still passionate for Mozilla themes and extensions, just not actively developing them for public release anymore.

By the way, it's possible to install Linux into a virtual machine such as VirtualBox.

Testing on OSX 10.5.8. Looks good however the right scrollbar, while functional, is invisible.
I'll try the same test on linux later.

Hi,
looks fine to me so far and works fine here on linux.
The only thing I saw is that some buttons are not yet small like: panorama button, menu button, session manager button and the OK/Cancel buttons when asked for htaccess login.

Re: Need theme tested on Linux and Mac OS/X
Atester: Thanks, I guess it was too much to hope for that they would actually fix the scrollbar issues between Windows/Linux and OSX scrollbars. This means I'll have to use custom scrollbars again. That sucks.
Segaja: I can't even find the panorama and session manager buttons? When you say menu button what are you referring to? Could you provide a screen capture? I'll work on the OK/Cancel buttons. Are you by chance using panoramas? I ask this because custom themes like Classic Compact and panoramas can't be used together with Firefox 4.0. You can use either a custom theme or a panorama, but not both.

Thank's! Works fine on Kubuntu Linux KDE 4.6 & Firefox 4.0 release. Does Classic Compact Options exists for 4.0?

I don't use personas.
The panorama button is a button that appears in the tabbar on the top left and shows you your tab groups.
The menu button is button that is visible when you hide the normal menu bar.
The session manager button is a button from the session manager addon which I dragged to the tabbar.
Best regards
Segaja

Re: Need theme tested on Linux and Mac OS/X
@Murz,
Thanks for the feedback. Classic Compact Options will exist for FF4.0, but before I started work on that I had to create a stable base version of Classic Compact for FF4. When I have a version of CCO ready for testing I'll post it here. If things go well it could be within a day or so.

@Sega,
Could you post a screen capture of the Panarama button? I don't have what you describe. I've found the tab groups button in the toolbar options panel that can be dragged and dropped on to the tabbar or toolbars. Is Panarama an optional extension?

Re: Need theme tested on Linux and Mac OS/X
@Sega,
Okay, I googled for Firefox Panarama and found that it is the tab groups button. I've dragged it to different places and in all cases it was sized correctly for me. I see from your post above that you are using Firefox 4.0b13, could you upgrade to the latest Firefox build and see if the problem still exists? A screen capture would be helpful.

I use firefox 3. I install it, but I had to uninstall it. Everything was small. The tabs were to grayish and the menubar toolbar is like a default theme.

Re: Need theme tested on Linux and Mac OS/X
The test install of Classic Compact that I linked to in the first post of this thread does not work in Firefox 3. It only works in Firefox 4.
--edit--
But yes, the primary reason for this theme is to make things as small as possible. It isn't for everyone, but there is sizable niche of users who want to scrunch menus and tools bars down as much as possible. I regularly get emails suggesting how I could squeeze a few more pixels out of toolbars.
