Bug https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=650723 added Clear Type Parms to about:support - graphics info
This is what I'm seeing ... now what does all this mean ? And just what use is this providing to end user ? ClearType ParametersDISPLAY1 [ Gamma: 2200 Pixel Structure: RGB ClearType Level: 100 Enhanced Contrast: 300 ] DISPLAY4 [ Gamma: 2200 Pixel Structure: RGB ClearType Level: 100 Enhanced Contrast: 50 ] For me it says: ClearType parameters not found :S
They are coming from the Windows Registry:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Avalon.Graphics Intel i7 Core Quad @ 4.25Ghz | Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus | 12GB PC3-16000 RAM | ASUS HD6970 2GB - 12.3 CATS | ASUS PA246Q IPS 24" LCD 16:10 | OCZ AGILITY-EX SSD SLC | Windows 7 SP1 x64 Ultimate
DISPLAY1 [ Gamma: 2200 Pixel Structure: RGB ClearType Level: 100 Enhanced Contrast: 100 ] DISPLAY2 [ Gamma: 2200 Pixel Structure: RGB ClearType Level: 100 Enhanced Contrast: 50 ]
Yeah, and they are affected by e.g. Win7's ClearType tuner. It makes it easy to see if there is a correlation between those values and reports about poor font rendering.
try "Adjust ClearType text", http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/28790/tw ... windows-7/ [Desktop] Windows 7 Professional (32bit/SP1) / Geforce GTX 660Ti 2GB (350.12) / 4GB RAM
