the modified version on the tmp forum by segaja is working here.
could tell it wasn't previously because the undo tabs list was broken in the history menu

Andu wrote:Thanks. Will try that.

Edit: That didn't help and looking into the TMP dev thread it seems to be quite a few with that problem. Will just have to wait for a properly fixed version.

I can concur with the others and Andu that the Tab Mix Plus 0.3.8.6pre.110303a and Seraja Unofficial Patched Dev TMP build are both busted on the latest Win32 Nightly 20110716 on WinXP and Win7. So, it seems we will all just have to wait for an Official Dev TMP fixed for Firefox 7 & 8, once onemen gets back from being on vacation.
I think it's broken in Firefox 7 and above. https://developer.mozilla.org/en/nsIDOMWindowInternal I looked through some of the changes to the nightly's tests. Everyone I checked, nsIDOMWindowInternal was replaced with nsIDOMWindow. I found it twice in tabmixplus.xpi\chrome\tabmixplus.jar\content\links\contentLinks.js - there is a third occurrence in that file, but only in a comment. After changing those, TMP seems to work. It may still be broken, just not so badly that it totally breaks Firefox. I can't find a link that opens a new window with no toolbars/menubar/locationbar to test.

It appears Bluefang has found a work around to what you are describing ...

see here

Nice work, Bluefang ... thanks! :)

I combined your nsiDOMwindow fix with Segaja Unofficial Patched Dev TMP build above to make Segaja/Chris Unofficial V2 Patched Dev TMP build and uploaded it here: http://www.mediafire.com/?24b1wirf8ahm4b6, I've tested it on latest Aurora 7.0a2 & Nightly 8.0a1 Win32 20110716 builds and have not seen any problems so far.

Thanks Chris for this needed fix.... =D>

rob64rock,

Looks like the fix is working with nightly build:

http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/ ... 310868214/

Only thing I noticed was there was no "restart now" upon completion of the .xpi file. Not a problem, just an observation.
I often take a long windy road to my destination. Upon arrival, I wonder how I missed the shortcut.

For what I use TMP for, the 0303a Dev build is working for me.

So how do we update the build? All I see in the about window is "You are currently on the nightly update channel" with no button to update from the 2011-07-10 build

Can you post a screenshot of the About window?

Pal-moz, I do use the zip builds. My issue is that there is no update button in the about window.

OK,
then why don't you manually update ?
and do/did check with safe-mode, new profile ?

Zip build will not have an update button. If you want an update option, just install Firefox. If you don't want to install it for whatever reason then just manually update as suggested.

Umm...

When you open the "About" window, it checks automatically. None of the builds have an update button unless you turn off Automatic Updates, even official releases.
