Control the volume of music on webpages? (or mute/stop it)

Post by Jheriko »

Since the Stop Button and the Esc Key don't stop the music in Firefox,
it's only logical to have a replacement feature.

A music player-type Volume Bar would be nice (but probably a little too much to ask),
but a Mute/Stop button or key would suffice.

What do you think?

Also:

I've searched around, and it seems there is no such extension yet.
Is there something like it in development?

Music is handled by plugins in firefox, and FF has no control over them. You would have to somehow get in between firefox and the plugins and somehow override their abilities. No extension exists as of yet.

This is what I learnt last time I requested this feature.
