A known Bug with Firebird/Firefox on win95, win98 and also winME.
http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=171349 (there may be a fix for Fx 1.0) (don't comment on bug unless you have a fix or patch for example)

Oh really? ...
From this more recent duplicate bug: http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=245966
Ben Goodger wrote:... The icon is sourced from the same place - the app's exe file, so all such bugs are the same.
Hence why there is a Firefox window icon on Win2000/XP I believe.

In your Firefox folder (default location should be C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\), look for a folder called chrome.
In the chrome folder, create a folder called icons, then in the icons folder, create a folder called default.
(So the full path should be C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\chrome\icons\default\)
Download and save the following files to the default folder that you just created:
package.ico
main-window.ico
downloadManager.ico

My chrome folder seems to have been installed under c:\windows\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\usxw2y72.default
I can't get rid of the bloody windows icon by adding icon files as above i.e ..\icons\default or ..\default\icons as per http://www.mozilla.org/support/firefox/tips#app_icon
Should I create the chrome folder under program files, move the structure from App Data, or something else? I can't stand that M$ icon.

Use the program Chrome in the installed program directory, not your profile chrome. Read the above instructions again as posted by gwang Aug Tue 3rd 2004; they are explicit. http://iconpacks.mozdev.org/ .
Or better still yet go here:
http://iconpacks.mozdev.org/packs/firef ... 8-fix.html
and download the xpi fix. Install like an extension and it should do everything for you.
