I saw the effect for one flash of the caret and then the whole caret appeared. I had to reload the page to repeat. Only appeared if Tab was used. If page reloaded the effect was repeatable.

Thanks on the confirms, I filed Bug 700671 - Only a 1/4 or 1/3 of the caret is visible, please keep contributing there.

I see the same thing - as soon as the page opens hit Tab Tab and only a dot seems to appear in the last name field the first flash - normal thereafter.
