You mean we never had Cross Thread Comm Before hand???!!!!!!!!!! What does it improve in terms of current Mozilla and Firefox implementation? Apart from Memory efficiency.

Listed through a couple of pages and was impressed by the speed, then clicked the fullscreen button and realized this was flash and the performance made sense. So... WFM.

This has nothing much to do with memory usage at all really. Its apart of the parallelism/snappy project and the Off the Main Thread Compositing improvements. I suspect that this is a different kind of thread communication than what they were using currently. AS for what its for: Non janky graphics interactions like CSS Animation and the throbber, HTML5 Video for example. https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=598873

Firefox is laggy, very much more than usual "wtf-firefox" lagg lagg. Opera is more horrid that Firefox. IE9 is like "lol whatever n00bs" and seem about 8x faster than Firefox on that page. netbook EDIT: Page designed poorly as it still laggy in IE9!

I think it will be initially used for Android and Mac only. https://wiki.mozilla.org/Platform/GFX/O ... ompositingIts being developed on Mac first because its easier for those who are involved. Then ported across the other platforms. Android gets priority, then Windows and Desktop Linux.
