Problems using Firefox with eBay

I've been experiencing this situation since day one with Firefox. It doesn't matter how many times I click "keep me signed in" when I log into ebay, Firefox never retains my screenname or password information. I've lost more than one auction item because of this problem.
Does anyone know any way to bypass this highly annoying problem? At this point my only solution is to switch back to Internet Explorer and not use Firefox whenever I'm bidding. I'd be thrilled if someone has a solution to this situation. Thanks I already got that message when I first signed onto ebay earlier today.
It didn't take.
Been thinking about this one. How do you have cookies set? Try setting the "Keep Cookies" option to "When try expire". Don't know if this will help. Ebay may have a set time of "inactivity" before you are automatically logged out. Tools -> Options -> Privacy -> Cookies. I hope someone can come up with a solution for this. As popular as eBay is, there must be a lot of Firefox users with the same problem.
It doesn't seem to be a timeout problem, as it happens right away. I've checked my cookie block and adblock list for anything eBay-related, and there's nothing that isn't set to "allow". Very frustrating to not have eBay's "keep me signed in" work. It works because I am able to signin and retain my password across a single session. Set the following web site addresses to "Allow" under Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies > Exceptions:
ebay.com my.ebay.com signin.ebay.com www.ebay.com FYI, the cookie set by eBay is good for one day. Last edited by mousky on February 6th, 2005, 7:28 am, edited 1 time in total.
Hmm, I had three of those already, but I just added "ebay.com" to see if that helped. So you're saying that if I click the "Keep me signed in on this computer" option on the eBay sign-in page, it won't keep me signed in on this computer for more than a day? Hardly seems worth it. I'm not saying that - eBay states that
![]() "To protect your identity and privacy as an eBay member, you will be asked to sign in periodically. You will be asked to sign in again when you: * Request a change to your user information including your contact information, email address, User ID, payment methods, or credit card information. * Have only a buyer account and want to add a seller account. * Start the selling process in a different browser session, even if you have selected the “Keep me signed in” option. However, if you use the same browser session to sign in and to list an item, you will not be asked to sign in again. Your computer will remember your sign-in information for one day. * Clear cookies from your browser or cookies become corrupted. * Request to post to the Community Discussion Boards, Chat, Answer Center and eBay Groups." I have the "Always Remember Password" extension installed. It works on most sites, but there a few, like eBay, in which it doesn't work.
Do some sites have a way of encoding the site to defeat the password-remembering feature? I use eBay daily, and the "Always Remember Password" works fine for me.
