Firefox 11 displays pictures at center of screen
I noticed that Firefox 11 displays pictures at the center of the screen with a brown background.
Try that by selecting "view image" on any image from any site.
Is it possible to restore the previous behavior with a setting in about:config or else?
Thank you.

As far as I know there is no way to convert back to previous behaviour in about:config.
you can try this addon: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addo ... age-style/

I don't know why they change things that are good as they are.

If you don't want to use an add-on, you can use this UserStyle:

I guess there always will be someone to complain about something new.
Personally I have to say...finally,it was about time they decide to do that. What so great about having the image at the upper left corner rather than in the center.

Nope, that's the wrong one - that one just changes the background, not the image position.

Yeah, you're right, I forgot about the positioning!

You might want to research monitor calibration. On most monitors it's not difficult to do and greatly improves the quality of your experience if you see colors the way they are meant to be seen.
Tip of the day: If it has "toolbar" in the name, it's crap.

Yep, puts it right there where your field of view exists.

Thanks, just what I was looking for. I had gotten so used to the old style, the new one really upset my OCD.

Re: Firefox 11 displays pictures at center of screen
Thanks for the link to the add-on, it has made 'view image' pages look how they used to! However, I still have a problem with middle clicking 'view image' now. It still opens the image in a new tab as always, but now the focus switches straight to the image tab, which is very annoying! All of this (including the centred images problem) started when firefox updated to ver 11
