The Official Win32 20120324 builds are out

Post by Peter(6) »

announcement march 22, 2012:
Ladies and gentlemen,
I've been doing the nightly build threads now for just over 8 years and I've decided I'll retire from this voluntary "job" at the last day of this month. I've done my share and it's time for someone younger (I'm almost 55) to try and keep up with the daily changes to all the builds. We've come a long way since I started and without all your help Firefox would not be what it is today.

If you wish the work to be continued then don't look at others, but like me, take it yourself.
If you need any assistance you can PM me.

thank you,
Peter

So... pdf.js, how do i actually get it to do... stuff? Nightly is still opening all PDFs I encounter in Acrobat.

Scratch that... have to disable the Acrobat plugin...

So far it seems to work, no hissy fits, formatting errors or anything untoward as yet.
If it isn't broken... break it...

it [pdf.js] doesn't appear there, or in Options -> Appliactions, as said above i had to disable the Acrobat plugin

@RedFlames,
Not using Adobe Acrobat for a long time. SumatraPDF has a plugin for Firefox to open PDF files. I disabled that plugin to make pdf.js work. I guess you already have pdf.js extension on your extensions list.

Edit: Oh, you already answered, i am late. (: bTw, "always ask" is selected by default for me but Firefox has never asked me about PDF's.

network.http.pipelining.max-optimistic-requests;4
network.http.pipelining.maxsize;300000
network.http.pipelining.read-timeout;10000

Nightly suffers during loading of this Gdoc presentation (excessive memory using, totally irresponsive,
loading takes ages, etc). Can somebody confirm?

Ps.: Thanks Peter for all of your work!

Took about 10 seconds for it to load completely.

Interesting. I tried with fresh profile, i can reproduce it on two computers. :S Any suggestions?

Most likely hourly since I see those options in mine and I'm using the hourly builds.

Curious as to how much they can actually affect performance with pipelining.

I have encountered a few pdfs today that pdf.js does not render correctly. Who do I get in touch with about the issue? The bug to integrate pdf.js into Firefox has been marked Resolved Fixed.

Thanks,

Quite a number of pipelining fixes.
It looks like they're getting ready to land it?
