Re: Diffrence in nightly builds?
Ux? GUI.
inbound? upcoming changes merged frequently with central after testing compiling etc
Central? "Stable" nightly build - all changes when merged from inbound.
I'm unsure about rest - brief summary so someone please correct me.

pal-moz: I already know that. And that doesn't answer my question.

LOL! That's a nice way of putting it.
To further explain for future reference:
- Oak, Maple, Elm, Cedar, Birch, Ash, Alder, Holly are all experiment project branches. These branches are used for various things and are sometimes repurposed after the current occupying project is over. For example, Cedar was just repurposed for Opus Codec integration. Some of them I know and some of them I don't. Maple is the Java frontend for Mobile Firefox - Elm is WinRT - Birch I think is being repurposed soon - Ash, Alder and Holly were older projects, I didn't keep track of what went in those.
- Mozilla Inbound is a buffer for Mozilla Central. Mozilla Central is also called "Trunk" and is where all the latest Gecko production code goes to live. Builds produced from Mozilla Central is branded "Nightly".
- UX means "User Experience" and is where most in-progress user interface changes for Firefox land first for testing before landing in Mozilla Central.
- FX is the branch where user features for Firefox usually land first for testing before landing in Mozilla Central.
- Profiling is a new branch focused on the new performance profiling tool for Gecko.
- Accessibility is for accessibility features naturally.
@mozian
Yeah, that's WinRT/Windows 8 Metro Version.
Oak is about to shut down soon due to the code being up for review. The silent update meetings were canceled until further notice due to that.

If I understand the question, I don't think so. The only thing "up-stream" of the UX branch would be the dev's personal trees, no public staging area as far as I know.

Re: Diffrence in nightly builds?
Not sure. But they both have different csets. I think one might be PGO related.
Gum was a branch devoted to necko related development. It hosted the new cache experiment at one point. Not sure what's on it now.

Re: Diffrence in nightly builds?
fx-team is used for UX among other things (session restore patches tend to land there first, I don't know what else). fx-team is also the branch that Australis builds used, but it's less meaningful now.Rakstrooper wrote:is there an inbound for UX? like central inbound
Edit: The ux project branch hasn't seen any landings since May last year, fwiw. The fx-team integration branch is still in active use. I'm not sure what 'fx' is supposed to stand for. Effects? Firefox? IIRC there is an actual 'Firefox' team now split off from Gecko as a whole to prioritize fixes and improvements to the browser, but that's fairly recent.
