Sorry to spoil your fun, but I don't think it's a bug.

My profile is a million years old (remember a place/concept called "Deep Park"?), and I'll bet proverbial dollars to doughnuts the mess-up is is related to the idiosyncrasies of my machine.

However, if you really have nothing better to do, I'll be happy to check it for you if you come up with something.

Again, thanks for your contribution.

Here is another xpi, just for You. :)
Tested with:

Code: Select all

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.29pre) Gecko/20120329 Namoroka/3.6.29pre ID:20120329033228 CSet: c00a4ef21ac2

By the way I will file an issue about this bug!
Thanks again for the report!

Anyway, I think one the other two could be fixed: Crashme for Gecko 1.9.x would be fine.
But the Pushlog stuff is WONTFIX. You wouldn't able to use it even if the feature would work,
because there are no more updates on mozilla-1.9.2 branch. :(

I've just installed my "private" version on my laptop here at school, and it's "wunderbar"! :P

My thanks again to xabolcs.

I hate it when little things don't work the way I expect on my computers. For example, I can't get the Java SE 7 Update 5 to work on my laptops (Namoroka), even though it works, albeit begrudgingly, on my desktop, on which I also have 3.6. I had to go to v. 6 update 33 and then turn off the FF unsafe extension checker. Oh well.

Anyway, this little hiccup with NTT has been plaguing me for years, and Mossop had me convinced it was a problem on my machine and something that NTT was only reflecting rather than contributing to. As I indicated in my earlier mail, no one could have been more surprised than I was this morning when xabolcs's fix actually fixed it.

Is there a Nobel Prize for FF extension writing? If so, I know who I'm gonna nominate. =D>
-------------
P.S. In a previous post in this thread, I alluded to a VERY early version of FF. However, I mistakenly typed "Deep Park"; of course I meant "Deer Park".

Last but not least, given the topic is "Resurrection", maybe we could have a holiday connected to the fixing of NTT right around Easter.

@JoeG
I reported the problem as Issue #88.
The fix was sent also.

And the others:
By the way whimboo landed a fix: Issue #56: Reveal about:nightly for Thunderbird users.
This is important for me, because I use Thunderbird too.
So I updated my post, check it! :)

:D De Nada ... You're welcome ... Gern Geschehen ... (though the response, I know, should be from xabolcs).
Joe, you are always a treasure.
I have enjoyed your posts and the content therein ... always! :)

Here are the currently opened issues for 3.4.

IMHO the hard blockers are #49 - broken ImageShack and #52 - force-compatibility.
Sadly my favourite one (Bug 726560 - Tab Group Title in Titlebar Customization) is soft blocker.

There is no due date, because the pull request queue is full with fixes but all of the reviewers are busy.
I hope the fixes for the above lands soon and we could release 3.4.

Er, sorry, it seems that there it something I don't understand: Which repository is the right one? mozilla/nightlytt last committed 3 days ago, or xabolcs/nightlytt last committed on 18 June?

Edit: I found the "18 June" date by following the link in your post; but I see there's been a pull from mozilla to xabolcs three days ago: maybe both repos are now in sync? (I've recently been running ant on a clone of mozilla/nightlytt that I have on my HD.)

You gotta look at the various branches hanging off of xabolcs/nightlytt.
https://github.com/xabolcs/nightlytt/tr ... t-pastebin has commits from six hours ago, and pull request 86 is for getting that commit from six hours ago accepted for inclusion into mozilla/nightlytt.
