Reply to messages with different text color

Does anyone know a way to reply to an email in a different font color (eg. blue), other than having to change in the font selection bar every single time. I looked around on Mozillazine and on Google, but the only thing I could find was how to change the colors for different quote levels. Anyone has any idea how to do it? I would really appreciate it.

This is one of the little things I found appealing in Outlook and figured that there must be a way to do it in Thunderbird.

Quote Colors only affects how you *display* mail. It sounds like the OP wants to *send* mail in different colors. The only way to do that would be to send html, which is not a very good idea.

Using HTML, go to Tools>Options>HTML Options to set your font color.

Thanks for the info dtobias. Jim D, you are right. Quotecolors can only change how you display the email and now how you send it. Well, just thought it would be kind of cool and make replies more readable.

If the person on the other end has a fairly new mail reader, he or she can use something like QuoteColors (or the equivalent for other mailer readers) to set the colors the way he wants. That way you can just send plain text, but the reader sees things formatted as he wishes.

Yeah, but I am the only guy I know using Thunderbird so using QuoteColors is out. But doesnt Outlook use HTML for the purpose? And I would assume that all new email clients support HTML.
