Just curious of the official reasoning.

I have nothing official to do with Mozilla, but here's my thought on why it is appropriate: Aurora is supposed to be higher quality then Nightly, fewer bugs and smaller changes. If you just dump Nightly to Aurora the quality of the first Aurora release of each cycle will be the quality of Nightly, with the latest regressions and code that's only been on Nightly for a day. To keep the quality of Aurora up (and keep users from dumping the channel) you need to let it sit for a few days, and incorporate fixes for the newest features and regressions, before you send the Nightly code to the Aurora channel.

Pretty sure you nailed the reason on the head for why they do it. That and there's usually some stuff getting backed out or disabled in the first couple days after the merge that they don't want to ship in the mean time.

Seems the recent Nightlies / hourlies have broken its compatibilities.

Latest version I know that works is:
http://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/rev/d2b3cdaa149b

Anything after that seems to have broken it.

It might be related to the same bug I've been having (4chan x hasn't worked for a while for me)

They need to add the __exposedProps__ to chrome objects exposed to content (we've been warning about this in the console for 2 releases now). See https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/doc ... t_wrappers

The SVG direct link of this image does not show the color (transparency?) correctly: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/ ... mple_2.svg. See the green color and legends for 4.1/4.2.
PNG direct links are fine.

I don't know what .svg is so I don't know if it is a known issue... Chrome and IE correctly display the image.

Does anyone know, which Bug causes those huge regressions in whole browser, when it runs for a while with Facebook and other "huge" pages opened (eg. Gmail)? Or maybe only my browser is laggy after few minutes of usage? It reminds me Firefox 4 times, but now, I can't see big memory usage...

Can anyone confirm this behavior: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=786181 ?

When I go to weatherspark (http://weatherspark.com/#!dashboard;q=C ... R%2C%20USA), with a fresh profile, I'm seeing considerable cursor lag when I move my mouse over the temperature graphs as the crosshairs catch up.

I think this started with Flash 11.4, but I'm not entirely sure as I haven't been keeping close enough track. It definitely doesn't show up in Chrome or IE with Flash 11.4.

Thanks!

evalInSandbox:SyntaxError: syntax error
Error: syntax error

I'm seeing those messages across many sites this evening, more of them when I have more tabs open. Not all sites give them, but many do. (One site that doesn't cause the error is forums.mozillazine.org.)

I suspect it extension-related since it hasn't happened with a new profile I just created, but it's caused by Firefox since the problem started this evening and no extensions were updated today. (The most recent extension to update was Greasemonkey, and that was two days ago. Just to be sure I tested with Greasemonkey disabled and still saw the error.)

The messages come from Social Fixer, and are not related to Greasemonkey being enabled. Social Fixer hasn't changed since July so it is related to a Nightly change.
