I sometimes encounter aggressive websites that, when you try to delete the page, they prevent that by generating a message that asks "Are you sure you want to leave this page?"
And they are diabolically tricky to the extent of sending a wave of such messages at you quicker that you can keep clicking the "okay" buttons. I gave up playing their nasty game, opting each time to FORCE QUIT Camino. But I hate to do that.
Is there a way that I can STOP websites from generating those messages?
Actually I'm thinking it may be Camino doing it, caused by a bug. For I went into Camino preferences and checked the box to accept NO cookies whatsoever, then deleted all cookies, plus emptied the cache. Yet STILL I'm being deluged with those type of messages.
Right now I am using Safari. That bug / glitch or whatever it is going on in Camino has stifled me from wanting to use Camino.
PLEASE tell me how to stop Camino from generating messages.
How can I disable messages from Camino?

Turn off JS. That's the only way you can do it for sure.
If you're willing to spend some time with Safari's Activity window and the hosts file, you can probably block some of the more egregious offenders from even loading the scripts at all, which would then enable you to leave JS enabled the rest of the time.
Mind giving a few examples of sites that do this? The other obvious solution is "don't visit them"
