Change default search settings

Post by winedog »

How do you change the default settings for the Search dialogue box that is invoked by shift+ctrl+F ?

When I launch the Search messages is comes up with Subject Contains as the default setting. However, I always need to do searches by Body far more than subject.

How can I change it so Body is the default and not Subject? Also, is it possible to always force it choose Local Folders rather than the current folder I am in?

Save the Searches
pretty soon you'll run out of stuff to search for

Save the searches creates a default search based on a specific string, i have no need for that. That doesn't solve this problem from what I can see.

howdy winedog,

i presume it could be changed IF someone wrote an extension to do it. pretty much everything can be changed with an extension. the problem is finding someone who has the interest, the time, and the skill to do it.

there is no built in way to change the darned thing. [*sigh ...*]

take care,
