Tab options in about:config?

Post by CMonkeyBloke »

Does anyone know a way to alter tab options in about:config to add a close button to each tab? Thanks.

On a laptop?

Most laptops simulate a middle mouse button when the user presses both the left and right buttons (on the touchpad), at the same time. Image

I came across this Sea Tab X - SeaTabXPlus.
Have not tried it (have no interest in having an 'X' in the tab) nor do I know if it does anything to resolve Seamonkey disable tab duplication when sorting tabs.

no 'x's on tabs . One small x at the end suffices :-)

I know that there is some equivalent. That isn't it though.

I can double click tabs off with Tab Clicking Options. I know that Cat Thief is not supporting extensions any more, so I wondered if there were any equivalents. Thanks for the Russian link, thank god for NoScript eh? LOL!

i installed seaTabXPlus and disabled it again. I now remember why don't like these.x on tabs. I found them novel when i first say them but they are a real pain to use.
It removed the x at the end. I am very much used to clsing tabs using the x at the end and it saves a lot of time if you want to close multiple tabs at a time
You need not drag the mouse around tracking each close button and accurately clicking on it

I like Tab Clicking Options, but I can't seem to find it on the SeaMonkey extensions page any more. I have decided to try the desktop as is. The less incompatible extensions the better I suppose. Middle clicking isn't a problem with that. Tab Clicking Options doesn't remove the button at the extreme right of the GUI either. Plus, there's always Ctrl - W I suppose.

I use Seatab-X. I like having an X on each tab.

Me too! I have been using it for quite some time and really like it. Maybe one day the X will be incorporated again into the tabs...like the old days...
