I see a click-to-play icon for the Flash to the left of the URL when I visit that page. The area of the flash object shows up as a black square.

Confirm same behavior as bjherbison on WinXP

This is probably buggy Flash 11.6, but does anyone else get over 50% CPU usage when playing this game https://apps.facebook.com/zumablitz/

Beware, the game it's addictive :)

Alright, from the 20130117 thread it appears that Mozilla has decided to ignore user settings in order to force unwanted pop-ups down user's throats. Yeah Mozilla - NOT!

So I would appreciate knowing what settings I need in order to, once again, stop the following:
  • Download started pop-up (browser.download.useToolkitUI=false, currently)
  • Download completed pop-up
  • List of recent / all downloaded files
  • The remember password - if same functionality is available through some other mechanism
  • If you know of any other pop-ups please include them as well

I would really appreciate the assistance; the folks here are helping me retain my sanity on these issues. This has become my personal pet peeve / soapbox issue with Mozilla. I don't want pop-ups, ever, for any reason at all. Cease & Desist already.

Set browser.download.useToolkitUI to true to go back to using the old download manager.

I would think you would have to tell Firefox to not save logins/password to not have the remember password doorhanger. (Options>Security>Passwords)

Unless I'm missing something, the downloads panel never opens nor at beginning (excluded the first absolute download) nor at completion of downloads, we just have a subtle animation.

Please do not suggest reverting to the old manager unless there's a very compelling reason, we won't support that forever.

Hey! He asked a question. I answered it. Direct your answer to him, not me.

The only reason i am using that setting to revert to the old download manager is because i have an option to not show the download window at all since i use Download Status bar addon.As far as i know you can't forbid the new download panel from popping up when you start a download(again since i don't actually need it because i use the addon).If i could forbid it to pop up at download start i wouldn't use the old manager.So anyone knows of a setting to do that?

Page loading is very sloooooow while Error Console is opening

[*]#832614 [Core:Style System (CSS)]-Extremely slow to open and close Error Console. And Extremely slow loading web page while Error Console is opened. Browser almost hang up. [All]

Workaround:

Code: Select all

@-moz-document url("chrome://global/content/console.xul")
              ,url("chrome://console2/content/console2.xul")
{
.console-row:not([selected])[type="warning"][category="CSS Parser"]  .console-row-code
{
  display: none !important;
}
}

The download panel will only automatically popup once in the lifetime of the browser (unless you reset browser.download.panel.shown). It it's mostly a 'Oh, by the way, I'm here' kind of thing.
