Brine - SeaMonkey Theme

Here's a very early preview of where I'm going with this 8-)

Still lots to draw and change! All icons are my original work and I'm planning to redo every icon. I'm going to be creating new custom buttons for Mail Inbox, Write Mail, New Tab, Address Book, and Composer for the toolbar. I'm even thinking about unifying the Back and Forward buttons.

This theme will be one-size compact theme and will give you more length on the toolbar even with all the buttons enabled.

------ OTHER SCREENSHOTS-------
(I'm using the Pinball Theme as a guide to making the new theme)

All the graphic glitches should be corrected by release.

Very nice and always very good to see new original icons being produced. Well done.

Finally got the CSS working in the direction I want it to for the tabs:

This is where I want to get it at:

I was going to use images, but decided to see what I can make the CSS do. Hopefully I can get it close to the image tabs I drew.

***UPDATE***
They are looking great ;) Lots of more work to be done, but I'm getting there.

I've also decided to stick with the default structure of SeaMonkey. Making everything look great without requiring extensions (long term use). It would be nice if SeaMonkey developers made a default drop down button like "Compact Menu 2" for the Menubar.

Really nice theme for SM. When do you plan to release a beta version?

I'm just focused on the final version and releasing updates from there. I don't want an unfinished beta version floating around.

Hi yanike-
I especially like your use of gradients, it will make your theme very easy to read and use by people (like me) who have eye problems. Hope you will release Brine soon. Thanks.

;) Finally got some free time to work on the theme. Check out the Tabs bar!

I'm going to redo the "New Tab" and "Remove Tab" to fit the new design. Still lots of work to do, but I'm getting there :)

yanike: I'm a long time fan of 'Orbit 3+1' in SM, but I sure do like the way 'Brine' is shaping up. How is it progressing?

I'm actually fixing to start working back on it this week while I have free time to design and practive Java coding.

@Windows Users,
Brine looks great while I now build it on Windows 7. I've switched back to Windows from Ubuntu for professional reasons (mainly for Adobe applications and WebMatrix).

Why do you need Java for your theme?

Do you mean JavaScript?
Linux Desktop - AMD Athlon(tm) II X3 455 3.3GHz | 8.0GB RAM | GeForce GT 630
Windows Notebook - AMD A8 7410 2.2GHz | 6.0GB RAM | AMD Radeon R5
