SM 2.21a1/2.20a2 nightly builds are NO LONGER busted

Post by rsx11m »

Due to bug 858014, Mail & Newsgroup (and possibly other functions) is currently unusable. The last good build was April 3rd.

Problem solved, the next trunk nightly build should be good again. 8-)

Using this version Build identifier: 20130413213007
Built from http://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/rev/a3dad9390a30
I don't appear to be able to reorder tabs.

That should be unrelated to bug 858014, that was about the docShell only.
I don't see anything filed on bugzilla re moving tabs or changing their order.

It worked again. But then later after having sm open for a day or two and many tabs open and closed it started refusing again. Maybe just slow?

Trunk nightly builds are busted again (completely, that is = won't build) since Monday,

  • Bug 864256, Build failure in nsMsgStatusFeedback.cpp: "error: 'class nsIXULBrowserWindow' has no member named 'SetJSDefaultStatus'",
  • regression from: Bug 862917, Remove window.defaultStatus [Core/DOM].

Thunderbird trunk builds are green now, SeaMonkey not yet. Let's see if it's clearing out on its own or need some additional fixing.

At least the Windows builds seem to be fixed now, Linux remains busted due to a GTK issue (bug 865976).

Yes, all Tinderbox builds are green (for now at least, until the next time any Core changes break it again...).

The fix apparently was to backport some GDK pre-processor definitions to the version installed on the build machines.

I noticed there were also some core changes in libmime when I was trying to find the problem, not sure how dangerous they are.

Actually, the Linux 64-bit builds are still busted (32-bit builds are ok), which should be resolved after those builders are patched as well.

No nightly builds on either channel since May 8, apparently due to a hardware failure. Let's see if this affects tomorrow's 2.18 release as well... :doubt:

Edit: Follow bug 870207 for details.

It appears that the buildmaster cannot be salvaged, thus it has to be rebuild from scratch (well, not quite, but you get the idea). No nightly builds any time in the near future (and yes, 2.18 final is cancelled for now as well).
