I believe that this part of the code was modified to fix a bug since firefox 16, and now with version 22 that code didn't work anymore until blackwind posted the fixes :)

I lack both the time and (probably) the skill to maintain an add-on of this magnitude. If there's an easy fix the next time it breaks as well, I may provide one; if not, know that TMP might well be in your futures. No, I'm not happy about it either.

I can empathize with ithinc. Even as an Add-on SDK developer (which is supposed to alleviate these problems), I find myself tweaking my add-on for compatibility with the latest and greatest rapid release of Firefox far more often than I'd like. Given that almost EVERY release breaks TU in some way, there no doubt came a point when he just threw up his hands and walked away.

If it's too much trouble to develop new features AND maintain compatibility, ithinc, consider focusing on the latter. There are thousands and thousands of users who depend on your work, and I know that, for me, at least, Tab Utilities is just fine as it is. All I want at this point are updates before the next stable build is released. If nothing else, moving forward, can we get at least that much?

In any case, glad to hear this is working out for everyone. Cheers!

Tab Utilities is the first and only add-on which I have donated with money.. for a good reason: Since many years TU is one of the most useful Firefox add-ons next to NoScript and AdBlockPlus I have ever used.

ithinc did a really good job all the time. THANK YOU for that! You have indulged us with a good add-on with lots of nice and balanced features.

But now it looks that TU becomes a dinosaur.. very big (with tons of features) and ageing. That's what I have feared always: If TU will perish it will left behind a large vacuum.. and there is no adequate successor in sight (I have tryed it twice).. :/

This is the same as with Incredible Bookmarks (https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/a ... bookmarks/) one year before.. which certainly failed on new Firefox rules/technology/code.

The stable TU release is not longer working with the new Firefox versions.. and the pre-release comes in english language only. We can fix here and there a little but it's merely a matter of time till Firefox comes with new features or code which will crush TU. And I don't think that other peoples could release new TU versions the way ithinc did.

So if ithinc cannot support TU longer.. let it RIP honestly.

To avoid at startup:

Error: Failed to hook nodeReplaced: nodeReplaced is not a function
Source File: chrome://tabutils/content/tulib.js

I have also modified tabutils.xml line 91 in:
["nodeInserted", "nodeRemoved", "nodeMoved"].forEach(function(aMethod) {

removing
, "nodeReplaced"

it seems to work although I do not know what's.

I see the fix on the previous page for FF22 but how do I do this. Think noob. Where are the files, Windows 7 and Vista. If I need an edit program for the xml, feel free to recommend one.
A must have extension for me multi-row tabs and restart tab.

Edit: got it, seems to work

Unfortunately even with the fix, I have issues with the icon that restores previously closed tabs. Instead of the icon I can see a 'hole' with the letter 'i' in it. It seems as if the icon isn't found anymore. Anyone else here seeing this behavior as well?
