Hey guys
Do us a favour. Most of us use Lightning and it would be very helpful if you could also give the link for the compatible download, rather us us ferreting around a lot of obsolete web pages.
Thanks

I just updated my thunder to 23.0 and lightning to 2.5 and lightning died.
just updated the lines in libical.manifest about the binary component to look like the ones in components.manifest
On linux it would look like this

Filed your Lightning problem as Bug 890599 - Lightning 2.5b1: Linux 32/64 bit universal builds broken due to incorrect libical.manifest.

Edit: a new Beta 2 build was uploaded to https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/lightning/versions/2.5b2 that ought to fix the Linux problem.

I don't if this is known about (rank amateur here) but since Thunderbird auto updated to the latest 23.0 Beta it has not been respecting the format option in Address Book.

Whenever I send an email it ALWAYS asks what format to send it in (Text, HTML, Both) regardless of what is set up in Address Book.

I disabled all add ons/themes and it still does it.

Deleted and recreated an Address Book entry to check if that helped but no go.

I don't recall any significant changes in that area in 23

Double check your settings in:
Tools..Options..Composition..General tab..Send Options button

I have been seeing this behavior since around version 21. Just tried version 24 b2 and get the same result. I posted in the TB bug section because I didn't know about this section. Anyway, using Win 7 SP1 32 bit. Very annoying bug. Asks "what do you want to do" for every email sent even when it is already specified in the address book. Worked fine in V 17.0.8.
