"# Phoenix 0.5 - November

Polish and cleanup. Lots of bug fixing."

any ETA on 0.5 ? eg: coming in 2-3 days or delayed for a few weeks?

i believe the delay stems mainly from the fact that the developers have no name to call their browser. they can do no more releases of "phoenix".

The release number is not (yet) crucial for Phoenix, people tend to give it too much emphasis. The upcoming 0.5 release will be not much more than the newest nightly with a new version number; it's not like with Mozilla, were releases are branched off the main trunk for further testing.

And let us remember that the developers all have day jobs.

And then let us remember that there is the occasional unanticipated bug (e.g.--a fix for a prior bug causes a new bug), which may be in Mozilla and not Phoenix.

Have patience. Sei ruhig, bitte. No browser before its time, an all that.

Yeah, I've been waiting for v5.0 for over a month.

How about possibly very soonish? The user agent string was just bumped up to 0.5, and as far as I know, all of the Mozilla bugs (Flash crash, Intellimouse support) that were blocking 0.5 have been checked in.

Bumped up? I just built this evening and I still have '0.4' in my useragent string...

Hmm, I guess nobody has taken a look at the Phoenix release notes recently (note the "Draft" in the background please):

My assumption is that Phoenix 0.5 will be out Real Soon Now (only one bug left as of this writing).

I suspect you will have to wait a few more years before we hit 5.0 ;)
