What sort of man would put a known criminal in charge of a major branch of government? Apart from, say, the average voter. "Terry Pratchett"
Telling web sites what you are interested in seems to be something which has been done for years, quietly. Whether it's Google tailoring ads off your GPS or IP location, your IP sending you to a "Help You Find it" Page, collected history of where you've visited or having "Favorites" in your tool-bar, read by the system. Only drawback to this is it's misuse and the narrowing of what you perceive as an open Internet, not restricted by marketing whimsy or redirects to "buy this" pages instead of where you want to go.
Bad move on the part of Mozilla if true.
Doesn't matter what you say, it's wrong for a toaster to walk around the house and talk to you
