Javascript toggling removed from Preferences in 23
Not a surprise, but where is the main switch in about:config?

Thanks. Already found that. javascript.enabled. More out of curiosity, since I always use NoScript.

Re: Javascript toggling removed from Preferences in 23
I really have to say that I disapprove of removing JavaScript toggling from Options/Content. There are just too many ways for malware to exploit if one forgets and leaves it enabled. Personally, I have always found NoScript to be too noisy and dense to be useful for the non-technical. I've even had techies complain about the same.
On the bright side, I use QuickJava extension so that I have a visual on the current status of JavaScript toggling, and I find it is still working nicely.

Re: Javascript toggling removed from Preferences in 23
The bug explained the reasoning behind this. The average (brain-dead) Firefox user would be unable to browse effectively with javascript off, hence it doesn't belong in the mainstream options dialog. The preference itself remains, and so long as that's the case then I don't see a problem. I use NoScript anyway. Difficult or not, I haven't found an alternative that protects me from essentially everything while allowing me to properly white-list the sites I trust.

So, what are the options for the Advanced Dialog to allow JavaScript to resize windows, modify context menus and so on? Nothing obvious in about:config that I can see (yet).
Well, at least Shift-Right-Click over an HTML5 video player will show the regular context menu.

dom.disable_window_move_resize 'false'
dom.disable_window_flip 'true'
dom.event.contextmenu.enabled 'true'

Thanks! Hmmm.. wonder if I can find an add-on that will let me add custom menu items or toolbar buttons to toggle any about:config option I want.

MenuManipulator or Custom Buttons.
There's also Controle de Scripts.

Thanks, I did find that Custom Buttons and was able to make one to toggle JavaScript on/off so now I can duplicate that one to make a button that does whatever.

Hmmm... don't know and I usually review topics that I've posted to and this one did not come up in that listing... anyway, I don't remember what that post might have been ... I just came here via a link in another topic.

I think kukla mistook a post made by Ortho_Fan (he deleted) as yours. Nothing else happened in thread according to logs.
