Been using it for years - obviously, but now when I try to launch program I get "Error accessing file..." messages. It gives an "eud###.temp" number; a different one every time I try. "Access denied".
I was directed to this forum but don't see any Eudora heading. HELP!

Re: Eudora 7
Who directed you to here? They obviously have sent you to the wrong place. Try searching for Eudora & forum to see where you should really be asking that question.

Re: Eudora 7
Eudora OSE (aka Eudora 8) is based on modifications to an old version of Thunderbird. If you were using it we could try to help you, but it wouldn't have an error that mentions "eud###.temp". Both it and Eudora 7 (which has only Qualcomm code) are no longer being developed or maintained. See http://www.eudora.com/techsupport/online.html for some forums and newsgroups where you could try to get help with it.
If you want to switch to Thunderbird (which is still being actively developed by the user community) it can import mail, settings and address books from Eudora 7.

Re: Eudora 7
Thanks for the reply(s). For some reason I missed them. Perhaps it's because I have resorted to using Web mail which is very cumbersome.
It would seem I should abandon my beloved Eudora and move on to Thunderbird. Please suggest the best way to proceed as painlessly as possible.
Thanks
pv

Re: Eudora 7
Install Thunderbird on the same PC and use tools -> import to import your Eudora mail, settings and address books if the import wizard doesn't automatically offer to import them. Don't uninstall Eudora until after you've used Thunderbird for a while and verified everything was imported okay.
