Hello -
I did a bit of reading, and I see this component has something to do with debug builds.
I have FF 25 installed in Vista - I assumed it was a regular build, I'm just an end user.
There is a file, Marionette.log, and the contents of the file is
"marionette component loaded"
Why is this in my Firefox, and how can I get rid of it?

Re: marionette.log
If the file has a 0 byte-size then it's not being used. It's probably just a placeholder for builds that DO use it. It's also possible that the mechanism that creates the file was accidentally turned on when Firefox 25 was built. It shouldn't hurt anything.
Tip of the day: If it has "toolbar" in the name, it's crap.

Re: marionette.log
It's certainly not 0 bytes, since when I opened the file, it contains the text I mentioned above.
In case you missed it, the contents of the file are:
"marionette component loaded"

Re: marionette.log
This bug has been fixed and explains a little about it: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=918408 But the fix won't come until Firefox 28. After installing Firefox 28 when it is released, you can delete the file and it won't come back. The file is from a glitch in Firefox 25 - 27 and is not from any external source such as a virus.
