Are you sure this is not caused by some add-ons buttons/items?
With default buttons/items CTR add-on bar is even 1px higher than on pre-Australis (Windows 7).

(Using a new profile) With only CTR enabled, my addon bar is still shorter than in other Fx (Aurora) on Win7. Don't know why that might be so.

Are you using a higher desktop dpi setting than 100%?
Can you post a screenshot?

Here is how it looks for me

My mistake, will be fixed with todays upload.

I will look into the add-on bar issue, but as far as I know themes are not supported in CTR ;-)

There is no throbber in Australis UI. Your code cannot work without a throbber.

My German is far better than my English too. ;-)

I'm at work, so I cannot check at the moment, but the display should be at the recommended settings for the monitor and graphics card. More importantly, I can use the style to accommodate thinks if it is just my system that is affected.

v1.0.0.20131125a should fix some add-on bar bugs, but I haven't altered its size. For me toolbar button icons look the same they are on Aurora or Beta.

Nuvola FF 1.24+ (24.11.2013) and my unreleased Noia 4 build work fine with CTRs addon bar using CTR v1.0.0.20131125a.

Maybe sometime in the future. These tabs need to be create from images I don't have.

You're using images for the tabs ? I thought you did like the old Firefox with the gradients and stuff.
Also, the tab styles could use the current classic tab images + the new australis tab seperators. Seems quite easy to me.

Can not confirm this. Addonbar have exact the same size as the pre Australis addonbar.

Not for the squared ones, there I use gradients. But for the one on the screenshot, where the tabs have a small roundness where they meet the nav-bar, I would have to. Without it probably not. I haven't tested this yet.

Edit:

This is close to the screenshot, if you keep aquared tabs enabled (just a test, doesn't work after restart):

Code: Select all

.tabbrowser-tab:not([selected="true"]):not(:hover):not(:-moz-lwtheme),
.tabs-newtab-button:not(:-moz-lwtheme):not(:hover){
  background: none !important;
  background-image: none !important;
  border-image: none !important;
  border-style: none !important;
  color:white !important;
  font-weight: bold !important;
  text-shadow: 0px 1px 1px black !important;
}

.tabs-newtab-button:hover:not(:-moz-lwtheme),
.tabbrowser-tab:not([selected="true"]):hover:not(:-moz-lwtheme){
  background: none !important;
  background-image: none !important;
  color:white !important;
  font-weight: bold !important;
  text-shadow: 0px 1px 1px black !important;
}

.tabbrowser-tab:not([selected="true"]):not(:hover):not(:-moz-lwtheme) .tab-content{
  margin-top: -1px !important;
  margin-left: 3px !important;
}

  margin-right: 1px !important;
}
.tabs-newtab-button:not(:-moz-lwtheme):not(:hover) image{
  margin-bottom: -1px !important;
}

I can tell this is not Noia 4 nor Noia Fox or Nuvola on your screenshot. Try to remove all your buttons from the add-on bar and put them back one by one.

I would recommend to use Stylish instead of userchrome.css. Its easier to test changes.

Here are the codes I used before and I'm using now:

Code: Select all

   /*older*/
   #ctr_addon-bar toolbarbutton .toolbarbutton-icon {
     padding:0px !important;
     margin:-4px !important;
     width: 18px !important;
     height: 18px !important;
   }
   #ctr_addon-bar .toolbarbutton-menubutton-dropmarker {
     padding:0px !important;
     margin-left:-2px !important;
     margin-right:-1px !important;
   }
   #ctr_addon-bar toolbarbutton[type="menu"] dropmarker{
     margin-left:3px !important;
     margin-right:-5px !important;
   }

Code: Select all

   /*current*/
   #ctr_addon-bar toolbarbutton {
     -moz-appearance: none !important;
     margin: 0px 3px !important;
     padding:0px !important;
   }
   #ctr_addon-bar toolbarbutton .toolbarbutton-icon {
     max-width: 18px;
     max-height: 18px;
   }
   #ctr_addon-bar .toolbarbutton-menubutton-dropmarker {
     padding: 0px !important;
     margin-left: -3px !important;
   }

Try to play around with both. As you can see there are no height settings for the ctr_addon-bar itself.

Also this works for me with themes:
#ctr_addon-bar {
min-height: 30px !important;
}

Your Aurora is broken somehow and is displaying large icons. Maybe an extension or theme did this, but by default the addons bar is supposed to display small icons.
Tip of the day: If it has "toolbar" in the name, it's crap.

I saw some talk on IRC the other day about localstore.rdf was causing/forcing large icons when it should not causing some buttons to be too big.
Hopefully your using different profiles when jumping back and forth from Aurora and Australis.

You could try deleting your localstore.rdf in the Aurora side and see what happens.
