Move the new tab button to the right of the right-most tab?

I'd like to do this for consistency across browsers. Does anyone know? I can move it over to the far right using userChrome.css but that's not what I'm after. Thanks

A related but less concerning query is that I'd like to have the tab bar above the main toolbar. I suppose this isn't possible currently?

Old school Firefox did not have the tabs on top. Firefox 3.x also did not put the lock icon in the urlbar (as the description states in the description on the Mozilla Addons site).

I never said my extension does tabs on top. And while the Firefox default theme may not have had a lock icon in the urlbar, Firefox 2.0 did, and SeaMonkey does, and many of us theme authors added one because we felt it was important. I personally believe that a design that compromises user security for fashion is bad bad design, and Mozilla has been guilty of that for some time now. I also never claimed to be attempting to 100% reproduce Firefox 3.x or even to consider it to be the best possible UI. Because it wasn't.

I just disabled Prefbar and SeaTabX (not supported any more) and installed SeaFox. It's great. Customized toolbar stuff so I have the new tab button to the right of the URL bar and I'm a happy camper.

My copy of SeaMonkey has a generic bookmark icon in the urlbar, and the lock in the status bar. Firefox 3.x also had the lock in the status bar, and I remember Firefox 2 also having the lock in the status bar.

Anonymosity... I've spent quite a lot of time testing the ins and outs of older Firefox, Netscape, and even Mosaic browsers over the last 5 years or so. But if you don't want to take my word for it you are welcome to take a step back in time:

SeaMonkey displays security info on the right side of the urlbar like Firefox 2.0 did (it's Larry in some themes, a lock in others), as well as in the statusbar.

That page you linked is discussing how people used to be fooled by padlock images in the address bar because the site used a padlock as its site icon. I am still running Firefox 3.6.28 on my old laptop because it cannot run any version later than that. I had removed the go button, the feed button, and the star button from the address bar to get rid of clutter, and the only thing left on the right end is the drop marker, regardless of what page I visit. In the address bar is a blue identity button showing the domain name for verified domain sites, and a green identity button showing the entity running the site for verified identity sites. The padlock icon is in the status bar.

With SeaMonkey for verified identity there is a little green image with the passport officer at the right end of the address bar and nothing for verified domain, mixed content or http sites (except the drop marker). The padlock image is in the status bar.
