530 Login Incorrect

530 Login Incorrect
I get this error when trying to a ftp -server firefox wont ask for the login information, IE asks the login information and with IE the ftp site works. Why is this how can i get this site to work in firefox..

If you are getting the "530 login incorrect." error, then try either
ftp://username@site ..and you should be prompted for a password.
Or
ftp://username:password@site ..not as secure as password is visable.
Firefox 1.1 will have a username/password prompt when anonymous login fails.
Also Firefox can only view/download FTP and if you want to upload then the fireFTP extension is an option. Or if you want a nice FTP client, I recommend FileZilla (<-not related to mozilla.org)
