Firefox 32.0 - Saved Passwords Aren't Showing

Hello.
I've just updated to Firefox 32.0.
None of my Saved Passwords are showing???



If I downgrade back to 31.0, hey presto... they're showing...



What is happening here... Does anyone else have the problem?

It may be a problem with the "stub" installer/updater.
Try D/L'ing the full version.....When "they" decide to post version 32 there.
Still says version 31.

I did use the full installer (and always do when updating).
I also installed to a new Program Files folder also (i.e. fresh install).

Confirmed (in FF32).

(Not seeing anything in "Error Console", though not really sure what I'm looking at in there.)

Looks like if you were starting in Private Mode (which I happened to have enabled) the prompt to save passwords does not come up, I guess expectedly.

Once I disabled Private Mode, then saved a password in FF32, then opened FF31, that new password was not seen, but older ones (not seen in FF32) were.

And further to that, using FF32, saved a different un/pw for site that did already appear in FF31, & now each show separately, depending on whether I've loaded 32 or 31.

We aren't quite finished qualifying Firefox 32.0 yet.
You should check out the latest Beta.

When we're all done with Firefox 32.0 it will show up on Firefox.com.

Couldn't wait for v32 to be released?

As I mentioned, the site I linked to still has v31, not v32.

The same is seen in 32.0b9 so it is not an issue of 32 "Release" or not.

Why did you update via that site?

To be honest, I didn't - I used the FTP Mozilla Org site where 32.0 is available.
I got my wrists slapped last time I linked to the FTP site , so I provided the CDN link instead where 32.0 was also showing (although I hadn't tested the link there and seen the regarding message).

I'll update again when Firefox.com has updated to 32.0.

I was going to mention that the General Tab isn't working either, but it's looking likely this 32.0 is broken in more than one place

Looks to be Profile specific.
Looks like password data is different between 32 & 31.

Starting with a new Profile, entering a password in 31 is then seen in 32.
And then saving a password in 32 is also seen.
So 32 is seeing both 32 & 31.

But then if you revert back to 31, only the 31 passwords are seen, not 32's.

So there seems to be some general password breakage between FF 31 & 32, which one may or may not run into - when upgrading from 31 to 32, but will be seen if reverting from 32 to something earlier.

That I can't confirm.

And again, whether you used 32 "release" from ftp or not is not an issue.
There is a general breakage.
And again not everyone may necessarily see it, but obviously are some circumstances where breakage occurs.
