Cannot open the Menu Bar by pressing the Alt key
Hello everyone.
Sorry for my English. I have SeaMonkey 2.30 installed. I cannot open the Menu Bar by pressing the Alt key or F10 when the Menu Bar is hidden. If the Menu Bar is at the top of the window, then when I pressed Alt key or F10, only the File is highlighted, and the main menu toolbar does not go away. Is this behavior when I press Alt key or F10 normal, and if not, how can i fix it?

Since when does Windows SeaMonkey hide the menu bar?

Re: Cannot open the Menu Bar by pressing the Alt key
I'm assuming he means in Full Screen mode. SeaMonkey has hidden the menu bar during Fullscreen mode (F11) for some time now. However, it was broken for a long time and now works again. SeaMonkey does not natively have the ability to hide the menu bar out of full screen mode. My Sea Fox extension adds that ability.

I mean in window mode. If I understand correctly what is written in the built-in help the menu should appear and disappear by pressing the Alt or F10 key in exactly the same way as it does in Firefox.

In normal windowed mode the menu bar is not/cannot be hidden unless you are using Sea Fox or a userChrome CSS modification.

Alt and F10 show/hide the menu bar for me when in full screen mode using SeaMonkey 2.30.

It does not hide in windowed mode, though it can be collapsed.
(I call it a dohickey. They call it "grippy". No extension required.)
And when collapsed the Alt or F10 keys are ineffectual in opening menu items.

Interesting that Mac SM 2.30 no longer goes to full-screen mode with Cmd-Shift-F. Now it opens the Adblock Plus filter list window.

The ABP shortcut can be customized I believe.

Re: Cannot open the Menu Bar by pressing the Alt key
If I right click the toolbar and choose to hide the menubar, in Windows I can hit the ALT key to show it, but in Linux (openSuse 13.1) I have to use F10.

Extension in use?
I'm only seeing Navigation & Bookmarks toolbars.
