I'm guessing Aris is testing His CTR extension, which fixes the tabs, on that installation.

Nope, this has nothing to do with CTR, just try the linked Firefox from Mozillas "/latest-gum/" folder on a new profile.

Should have been #Fx12 back in September as the browser we know currently as Firefox (since 0.8) is not ten years old. Thanks to celebrations like this many people and sites incorrectly think Firefox was first released ten years ago when it got to version 1.0 Release. But whatever... nice to celebrate Firefox anyways.

A word to the wise: if it's being developed by the Dev Tools team... don't bother trying to build a Theme for it, because the UI is going to change with every single release.

Also "Firefox10" is an incredibly confusing marketing strategy.

Last week there was a tracking bug for this that, as I remember, says that the Aurora channel was being reused for this edition (that bug is now protected -Access denied- so I no longer follow it) which is in line with the last statement, as well as the version number for the builds in the link provided by Aris (35.0a2).

Also, googling Firefox Developer Edition gave me first not the link provided by Patrick, but one below it which at the moment is not directly accessible from that page: Reverting. It confirms that the default theme for this edition is not Australis, but you can revert to it from the customization page. It also states that this default theme is not compatible with lightweight themes, and you should revert to Australis in order to use them; not promising for full-fledged themes.

It's definitely more than a different theme as it specifically claims to promise "easier access to Web Developer Tools" which means it's either got a bundled extension or is a slightly different build. I'm sure it's just bundled with it's own custom theme, but I doubt if 3rd-party themes will work correctly with it... as I said, DevTools developers are change-happy folks.

Funny how changing developer tool's theme to "White" brings back the australis theme. I had expected square tabs but white !

It only takes one line of CSS to disable the curvy aspects of tabs if you don't care about the borders.

The "new dark theme" is only a css hack on top of the default css.

Like someone wanted to copy CTR or pre-Australis black edition theme and fail hardly...

Actually, if you change it from the Customization panel then "dark" is NOT a full theme, but just a userStyle-type modification of the Default. Firefox does not have a working mechanism to change a Complete Theme without a restart (although ShareBird *did* build an extension that fixed that back in 3.6 days). It could also be that it's actually part of the Default and is activated by a CLASS. I'd have to install it to see.

I don't mind the theme, I suppose it must match the dark themed dev tools. What would be nice would be an actual light theme.
