SM 2.31 will not use Silverlight

I cannot get the Silverlight plugin to work with SeaMonkey 2.31. It works with Firefox and Safari, but shows nothing with SM. Is this a problem with SeaMonkey, or is there some obscure setting that I have to change? I have the plugin set as "Ask to Activate".
What version of Silverlight?
Earlier ones are likely vulnerable & disabled. (And then I think there was some sort of screwup on MS's end the last set of updates...?) > shows nothing with SM Shows nothing where? about:plugins? Plugins Manager? Or some website? URL? Fire 750, bring back 250.
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.19) Gecko/20110420 SeaMonkey/2.0.14 Pinball CopyURL+ FetchTextURL FlashGot NoScript I just updated Silverlight to the most recent version. If Microsoft screwed up Silverlight, then why does it work with Firefox and Safari?
If I clear the placeholder from click-to-play, there is nothing underneath. I have 2 test sites bookmarked: http://bubblemark.com/silverlight2.html http://public.dali.tc.edu.tw/deepzoom/ Both sites work with other browsers. I found that it was Flashblock 1.5.18 that causes the problem. The weird thing is that it does not do the same thing to Firefox 24.8.1. The only way SeaMonkey will load Silverlight is to disable Flashblock. Even using the toggle button does not help.
Is there any way I can modify Flashblock to stop it blocking Silverlight (regardless of whether it is supposed to or not)? I read on mozilla.support.seamonkey that flashblock 1.3.21 was the version to use for SeaMonkey.
You can find it here. mozdev.org - downloads - /flashblock Linux Desktop - AMD Athlon(tm) II X3 455 3.3GHz | 8.0GB RAM | GeForce GT 630
Windows Notebook - AMD A8 7410 2.2GHz | 6.0GB RAM | AMD Radeon R5 But that version does not block HTML5, and that is the only reason that I want Flashblock.
I don't know what "HTML video" is, means, but I'm seeing no difference between Flashblock - SeaMonkey & 1.3.21 & FF & 1.5.18, with:
http://ie.microsoft.com/testdrive/performance/fishbowl/ (I get sound only, no visuals.) http://www.quirksmode.org/html5/tests/video.html (H.264/MP4 does not work, because I'm on XP, I suppose. The WebM & Ogg/Theora clips do play, though given that Flashblock was blocking "HTML5 video" I would not have expected them to?) Again, seeing no difference between SeaMonkey & FF & their respective Flashblock versions. Should I be & am I seeing things I shouldn't be? Fire 750, bring back 250.
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.19) Gecko/20110420 SeaMonkey/2.0.14 Pinball CopyURL+ FetchTextURL FlashGot NoScript Flashblock 1.5.17 and 1.5.18 give you the option of putting a placeholder over HTML5 videos as well as Flash. That is the only reason that I want Flashblock. For plugins, click-to-play works fine. Do you see that option in Flashblock 1.3.21? The last time I tried Flashblock 1.3.20, it completely blocked .swf. I really did not appreciate that.
I repeat, how can I hack Flashblock to stop it interfering with Silverlight? I just tried Flashblock 1.3.21, and it does allow blocking of HTML5, but it does the same thing to Silverlight as version 1.5.18. It is as if Silverlight does not exist at all. What are these new versions of Flashblock actually doing to Silverlight? Is there any way to patch them so that they do not do that?
Maybe there is something else that can put a placeholder over HTML5 videos? Flashblock recently had to be updated for use with newer versions of SM/Fx but the update apparently missed Silverlight support.
I've tried adding the missing piece and it seems to be working. You can try it out here: flashblock1.3.21mod.xpi. There were also some exceptions thrown by Flashblock when loading pages with silverlight when blocking was on, I don't know if they have any impact on anything but just in case I added a small try...catch block to get rid of them. Probably we'll need to contact Philip so he can verify these problems and publish fixed versions. *** SeaMonkey — weird name, sane interface, modern bowels ***
Mouse Gestures for SeaMonkey/Firefox Convert Fx and TB extensions to SeaMonkey It works with my two test sites, so probably fine. Thanks a bunch. I am happy again!
Just when I thought this Flashblock was fixed - it is blocking some Quicktime items, but not all of them. It does block these:
