I remember when 27 bugs in the "red list" was an alarming number, and was hoping it would be down after I've been away a week. Sure has been a lot of bug fixes, though, just not the ones on this "red list" nor on many blockers from the thread with the 1.1 graph chart thingie.

It would be great if some of the more then 100 developers from Seamonkey would move over to FF to assist in FF development / bug fixing... Maybe some FF developer outreach is needed. It's sad we have such a small core group of developers.

Anyways that's my small rant for this hour...

Yesterdays build changed some restrictions on use of 'internal-naming', and thus broke a few extensions.

check the thread on yesterday's build, page 3-4 for more info and list of broken extensions, and
in the Extensions forum the thread on TabMix, last couple pages.

I'd imagine they'll focus on some of the stability or annoyance bugs when the freeze is over. Right now it seems that they're just including stuff that needs testing (SVG support, Extension manager revision) and fixing some bugs as they go.

As time went on people added their pet bugs in there (some of which existed way before these threads got started); so of course the list can only grow.

Peter(6): Would it be acceptable to remove non-showstopper bugs that are unlikely to be fixed in the short-term? Some of them have existed for a long time anyway, so they would manifest in any build of Firefox (and thus, while still annoying, would not really provide that much value to a thread on daily builds).

Random comment to bring this somewhat on topic: It looks like <canvas> on Win32 is broken in that the colors are BGR instead of RGB. Havn't filed a bug yet because Cairo is off by default.

I'm waiting for Ben to go through the list, after that I'll remove the - bug

<b>From yesterday's build:</b>
xal wrote:has anyone noticed a problem with element positioning in GMail when you are using the spanish version of gmail?
It's only happening in trunk, FF1.0 works fine.
What happens is that the body of the page falls over the left side menu, mixing what would be 'inbox' ('bandeja de entrada' in spanish) with the list of emails.
Can anybody confirm this? is this a problem with gmail or with ff?
If you want to run a quick test, open your gmail account and go to Settings -> General -> Language, and choose spanish...

can anyone confirm this??

Wonders if because my descriptions verbally, are not that good, this ref is to my pictures so that the descrition is actually seen?

On that note, has the latest Firefox been adjusted to not give me that crash I got? I do have a nice Backup of the one I am using, so if anything goes wrong, I can reinstall this one.

Are you speaking of the XML error on start? I advised yesterday it was fixed, and I see from yesterday's notes tht it was also fixed for Lin/Win

Sounds good :) (I only see 6 in the first section with blocking+ anything though, and quite a few with explicit blocking-)

Peter(6) wrote:1.How to set it on ?

ac_add_options --enable-cairo in the .mozconfig (i.e., you have to build your own; not turned on in the official builds AFAIK). Maybe ask around in the third party builds forum for one? (I don't have a good way to distribute my builds)
Peter(6) wrote:2.Are there any real examples on the web (i/o of useless screenshots) ?

These; you have to save the HTML into a file and open that. Using a Cairo-enabled build with <canvas> support of course. (Found in the Development forum via asqueella.) Note that Neil Deakin's tests crash my build of Firefox - all I have so far is that the XBL bindings cause the crash.
