So what's up with nightly trunk builds not running?

It's the weekend, 38.0 and 31.7.0 have greater priority, they are working on fixing Lightning so it works again now that support has been removed for XPCOM binary components in extensions.
With the landing of bug 1159737, I have removed support for binary XPCOM components in extensions. This is planned to ride the Firefox 40 train.
No more binary components in extensions - Google Groups
The tree was closed. comm-central-thunderbird - open
Take your pick.

I know it's the weekend and I'm fully aware of the XPCOM bomb.
Nightly trunk builds haven't ran since April 29th. Before any of that came into play.

No great loss. The next one that will be a release is 44.

Nightly builds a very important and matter a great deal. Without them it is impossible to pinpoint regression dates of new bugs.

Why worry about a Nightly build when it isn't going to make it to a release version? So it hasn't updated. Did it stop working for you? Hasn't for me.
It's nice to see what may be coming in a future version, to test it, and report bugs, but if there isn't a build you go on about your business and wait until there is.
Did Nightly builds of 32,33,34,35,36 or 37 become Official releases. No.
Daily 38.0 moved up to Earlybird, Beta and will be the next release.
I hope JoeS or WSM answer your question since it appears important to you.

The reason is apparently in the build system and affects only Windows and Linux. Mac builds are ok. Apparently a filename change has messed up the lookup for the ID of the previous build, and then the whole build run fails for nightly and Aurora...Bozz wrote:So what's up with nightly trunk builds not running?
Bug 1160805 - Missing Windows and Linux nightly builds, build step set props: previous_buildid fails

Will be interesting to see, how the devs will handle tomorrow's merge day. Will Thunderbird be bumped from the current semi-broken repository state, or from the 10-day old "last-known-good for Windows" commit.

Figured out what my problem was when the UI started acting up, basicly it's Thunderbird not really working well with Hardware Acceleration so they advise to disable that.
