Autoexport bug

Post by fixit7 »

It looks like Seamonkey has a bug.

When autobookmark export is set to true, it only creates a bookmarks.html directory under Linux instead of the actual bookmark file.

Is there a fix ?

Thanks,

Does it work in SeaMonkey latest release 2.33.1? Or the prior release 2.32.1?

It does not work in either version.

It does work in Windows.

Image No problem at all here.
Works perfectly fine on GNU/Linux (Arch & Debian Testing 'Strech') with SeaMonkey 2.33.1

Old, FIXED, Bug 919506 - browser.bookmarks.autoExportHTML did not work anymore, but maybe there's something from that that we didn't pick up on ?

Maybe as test, in a new Profile, see if SeaMonkey 2.22 works correctly?

Oh, & before that, in a new, clean Profile, confirm that the same happens (with SeaMonkey 2.33.1).
(And you are a few SeaMonkey versions old it looks like. And we are old too!)

@fixit7: What Linux distribution are you seeing the problem in, and what desktop environment do you use? If I know this I might be able to actually test it.

It does not work completely.

I am trying to find a .pet version that Puppy needs.

Seamonkey 2.2 works but youtube is not supported.

I guess I can use two versions till the bug can be fixed.

After uninstalling all versions of Seamonkey and re-installing version 2.33.1, the auto export now works. :-)

Go figure.

thanks for all your help.
