Most of us are not having this problem, so the problem is likely some corruption or incompatibility at your end, rather than with Firefox per se. With the lack of information provided, there's no way anybody can help troubleshoot your problem. It's sort of like posting "Why won't my car start?" with no additional information.

So a good place to start to diagnose YOUR problem is with the link malliz provided.

What do your crash reports say the reason for the crash is?

My latest crash report indicates that it was caused by Crash Reason: SIGSEGV, and has a couple of fixed bug reports indicating the cause of the problem.

Enter about:crashes into the address bar, click the link and read the report.

Since 47.0.1 my firefox has been so unusable that I switched to Chrome and just hoped that firefox would get it's act together. I was in report mode so firefox was well aware of the details of my 4 to 6 crashes per day. My boss is having the same issues. If Firefox is unaware of their problems then the situation is far worse than I thought. If I can find a good bookmarks manager for Chrome, then my switch will be permanent and I will not return.

OK, I guess you are only here to vent and say goodbye ... Enjoy Chrome

If you are here to trouble shoot, Start by restarting Firefox in Safe Mode
Go Menu Help > Restart with addons disabled and see what happens

If no improvement using Safe Mode, see if you have the same problem if you create a new profile and test it with no extensions or non-default themes installed.

and

It that doesn't help, please create a new topic and provide more details based on the testing done with the suggestions above. This thread will be locked due to the age of the original posts.
