Hi again,

Thank you moderators!

As I told you before, I'd like a mozillaZine Knowledge Base account to update this article a little.

Thank you so much! :wink:

Thank you a lot tanstaafl! I tried to thank you via PM, but it seems I can use that feature in this forum yet. :D

I will edit that article this some time this week.

Thanks!

If this is the wrong place for this, please post this in a proper location.

Good day. While looking thru help page; http://kb.mozillazine.org/Unresponsive_Script_Warning

I tried to use this link;
Some extensions reported having Unresponsive Script Errors
Febe http://groups.google.com/group/mozilla.dev.apps.firefox/tree/browse_frm/thread/9a255123e6d255d7/77538ef3383bc594

This open a blank page. I even tried another browser.

The "correct" link may be this one?
https://groups.google.com/d/msg/mozilla ... U7OPOOU3cJ

I think Google did some changes to the permalinks which is causing the breakage.

Hi. I came here from the "Edit" button on the wiki. I’d like to request an account to make a small change in http://kb.mozillazine.org/Window_layout ... ird#Layout

To customize the layout, use a userChrome.css file. Here are some examples:

Message pane at the top (classic view) or center (vertical view)

Code: Select all

#messagesBox {-moz-box-direction: reverse;}

The example code did not work as expected in vertical view, but after some trial-and-error and digging in DXR I’ve found a variation of it that does. I’d like to replace the quoted text with:

Message pane at the top (classic view)

Code: Select all

#messagesBox {-moz-box-direction: reverse;}

Message pane at the center (vertical view)

Alternatively, if someone does that edit for me I don’t need an account.

Anyone else having problems with the Google Custom search? I get search hits. Using the old search works fine.
Steps to reproduce
Use any of the KB searches that use Google.
Search for Profile
Results: A new page that only shows ads, no search results.

The google custom search has been broken for weeks, for me. I can't find any workaround (tried deleting history and cookies, different browsers), I have to use a normal google search instead.

Hi there.

Referring to the Getting_an_SMIME_certificate article

please move the TrustCenter to the "formerly offered" section.
I would also suggest moving a link to Secorio to Order page https://www.secorio.com/en/order. It redirects to Comodo anyway - https://secure.comodo.net/products/frontpage?ap=Secorio&area=SecureEmailCertificate&product=9&days=365

It was already mentioned some time ago as you see below... :-k

http://kb.mozillazine.org/Getting_an_SMIME_certificate still mentiones http://www.trustcenter.de/en/products/t ... icates.htm which was taken over by Symantec some time ago, who closes down the service by 2014.

Just a heads up.
As underpass has pointed out repeatedly (thanks for your patience!) , we need to rewrite / heavily modify the lightning articles on support.mozilla.org. let me know irc: rolandtanglao on #tb-support-crew or rtanglao AT mozilla.com OR simply start editing the articles,

This is from https://wiki.mozilla.org/Thunderbird/St ... 2015-06-30 as reported here: viewtopic.php?f=29&t=2946773

I assume we will need to update our KB.

Hello! I had a question on Thunderbird passwords and the Google search lead me to mozillaZine - thanks! There's an error in the article, however, so I'm just trying to let someone know - I'm just passing through (not expecting to be a regular contributor, just trying to help ; )

The article is "Setting and changing email passwords" (http://kb.mozillazine.org/Setting_and_c ... _passwords) - it says to go to

[Tools -> Options] -> Privacy -> Passwords -> View Saved

But it should be

[Tools > Options] > SECURITY > Passwords > SAVED PASSWORDS (not 'privacy', not 'view saved'.) That's all. (See the Mozilla kb page https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/master-password at step #6 - there's an image that clearly shows this, which is exactly how my current version of Thunderbird appears on my computer.)

Thanks!

- Suzanne.

PS - I hope this is the right place to post this - the instructions are very confusing, at least to me.

Thanks, Suzanne. That page has been updated, including new text calling for closing and restarting Thunderbird to ensure that the old password value is cleared from memory before a new one is entered.
