I use about 6 accounts in Thunderbird. Sometimes I end up replying to a message with with the FROM(/ReplyTo) set to that of the wrong account. I was thinking of writing an extention that would allow you to request confirmation of your FROM address on send.

Has someone already done this?

Thanks,
Brian

Hi there!

I know it's been a very long time since you asked your question, but I was wondering if you ever found a solution. I am looking to do the same thing.

Thanks,

JS

I did find something... There is an Add On called PrivateID. You can associate a "private" email address with a private addressbook. If you attempt to send from the private address to a recipient NOT in the private addressbook you get a warning.

Excellent. I'll have a look at that. Thanks for replying!

It's been 7 years since the last reply; is there a better way to do this now? Or maybe an add-on that leaves blank the from address for you to select before sending (ie. causes an error if you try to send an email without selecting a from address)
