windows 10 recording users every move?
Windows 10 recording users every move? There are several news article about that.
What I am not clear on.
Does windows 10 recorded every keystroke that you type like the post I am doing?
Does Windows 10 recorded every site you visit in 3rd party browsers like Firefox?
Does Windows 10 record information like log-in information to sites like banking and these forums not related to Apps or Microsoft accounts?
If I changed the privacy setting to disabled, would windows 10 still monitor you?
Answers to these will decided whether I go back to using just Windows 7 & Xubuntu. Right now I am triple booting, Windows 7, Windows 10, Xubuntu. I have an extra retail version of windows 7. I upgrade windows 7 oem to windows 10. I am using my triple boot legally.
I am not posting this to stir up arguments or get into a debate. I just want some facts, so I can decided for myself.

The article is not accessible ("You have reached your 5 free article limit").
Think for yourself. Otherwise you have to believe what other people tell you.

I guess I'll wait for some instructions to disable most of these "features" before I allow W10 on my computer.

Reading that is a little concerning.

Microsoft Privacy Statement
A very long article but worth reading. I know that one can disable a lot in Settings etc. but who is to know what else Microsoft has up its sleeve?

DoNotSpy10 is a very useful program that just needs some L10n lovin'. I am using it at work for the machines that we are converting to Win Ten. I let the installation do as it pleases and then hit it with this.
If you want to try this, read the stuff below and, if you are still ok with it, search. -LN (edited the above to be an inactive link.)

What sort of man would put a known criminal in charge of a major branch of government? Apart from, say, the average voter.

As always, use with caution. However, KIS nor any of the other AVs we use at work have reported any issue. I would suspect Edge is upset because it is known to make changes automajically.
