Firefox, slideshows and cookies

Post by kaz101 »

I'm a WordPress website developer and I usually use Firefox for checking websites, testing, going into the website back office etc.

FF 39.0

Recently I've found FF crashing or freezing.
Today I've had an issue with the slide show not showing on a client's website.
http://www.askiviewrobe.com.au/ the slideshow doesn't load but keeps showing it's loading. I thought this was an issue with a WordPress update but when I tried the website in Chrome or IE it works fine.

Looking through some other threads on here cookies were mentioned. The website does use cookies and when I delete the cookie the slideshow loads. However deleting the cookie when I'm in the back office doesn't help since it sign me out of WordPress.

Any ideas what I can try?

Thanks,
Karen

I doubt the cookie is the issue. What about the cache? https://support.mozilla.org/kb/how-clear-firefox-cache

Weird. I've been away for a couple of days. Re-started the laptop and I can't get the error now.

I had cleared the cache and that had not made a difference. The only thing that made the difference was deleting the cookie.

Well consider this topic closed for now since I can't reproduce it now!

Thanks,
Karen
