Re: Moderation / Spam / Login Activation Requests
These are supposed to be links to images, however instead of displaying, they go straight to download. Probably nothing, but I'm not opening them...

Made the links unclickable. It appears that they are simply images but they don't load in Linux Mint.

Perhaps you've got a different screen resolution to me, then? Mine is 1024 x 768.

All my themes have only ever been made on a 1024 x 768 16 inch CRT monitor.

Re: Moderation / Spam / Login Activation Requests
Thanks MightyG...Moved ^^, to the trash folder.
A CRT Frank?
You should update it. Nahhh... not really.
My old CRT lasted for more than 7 years before finally giving in to old age.
Pity, as it always produced a nice image, but also generated lotsa heat,
which was not needed in the Summer time.

Since it was hosted on imgur it was easy to make it as a large thumbnail link to full size. The thumbnail is still easy enough to see what image was about.

Yep, plus satin faced flatscreens on other PCs, Netbook and tablet. (so they can be used outside!) I even bought 2 more 19 inch CRTs a few years back for when this one packs up (paid £10 each and they would have been £400+ new)
For correct colour values and especially the subtlety of tonal values you still can't beat a CRT. I just couldn't make a theme without one.
If people looked at nature properly, they'd see what a pale imitation of it actually gets shown on a flatscreen.

Re: Moderation / Spam / Login Activation Requests
You can get colour correct IPS panel monitors like those from Eizo however those are expensive.
Wanted to get a Eizo Foris FS2333 or FS2434 to have a good color IPS panel for console and even PC use (second monitor) but they are hard to get this year without over paying. Ended up getting a Beng RL2455HM (only payed $150+tax) and while it has good input and response time compared to a CRT TV, the colour could be better even for a TN panel.

Yep, it is possible, but as you say, expensive. I also realise that I have special requirements (much more so than just themes) and that people actually want their flatscreens looking like that. I see oversaturated unnatural colours and over-constrasted tonal values on them and the rest of the world sees, and wants, 'vivid colours and crisp, sharp images'.
Room for all, I reckon.
