Can't Access Yahoo Mail!

Post by Murf »

Suddenly I can't access Yahoo Mail. After signing in all I get is a blank page. If I view the page source I see HTML and JavaScript, so I don't think the problem is on Yahoo's end. I've tried un-installing and re-installing Firefox. I've tried going back to earlier versions of Firefox. I've tried running in safe mode. None of those steps made any difference.

Please, PLEASE don't make me go back to using IE!

There have been numerous complaints on this subject .
What I do is dis- able Adblock using ctrl>shift>B and Yahoo mail works.
Hopefully FF and Adblock are working on a solution.

FF 1.04 update............

So far (knock on wood) I can access yahoo mail without disabling Adblock.
Hopefully this goes to show that FF is in touch with the forums boards and other avenues to monitor and improve their products

Since I installed 1.03 I cant access Yahoo Mail either. What did Tjpc mean by "What I do is dis- able Adblock using ctrl>shift>B and Yahoo mail works." WHERE do you find Adblock to disable it? I looked under Tools/ Options and elswhere at top of screen and can't find any reference to Adblock. Please tell me where I do the disable. Thanks!

Adblock is an extension that you install . It is a blocking tool
http://adblock.mozdev.org/

I 'm hoping for the best ,so upgrade to 1.04 as I have access to Yahoo mail without disabling Adblock

If Adblock is an "extension" that I install, that's not my problem. I didn't consciously install it. I just did a search for it, and it doesn't show up anywhere on my hard drive. I also upgraded to 1.04 and I still can't get to Yahoo Mail - only a blank screen. Now what do I try? thanks again.

Of note if you go to the yahoo main page you will see that you are logged on...
It started working after awhile though...
Why I'm not sure...

Oh, I KNOW I'm logged on. Yahoo Messenger when I receive mail, and when I'm on "MY Yahoo" it shows the title and source of latest emails. It just doesn't do any good to click on Mail, cause it still gives a blank page. Wish I had your luck.

Try using IE and then going back...
I used IE once and then later went and tried again and that's when it worked again...

Why do people Uninstall and reinstall Firefox and say it does not help?

Try turning off the IPv6.
type about:config in the Navbar/address bar and hit Enter then look for
network.dns.disableIPv6 - right-click and toggle to true
Restart Firefox

thanks.
