It converted the EFF Privacy Badger. I installed it ... no errors. Not entirely sure it's working, but that's half the battle, eh?

I've made a new home for the listing of extensions which are compatible with SeaMonkey after conversion:

http://addonconverter.fotokraina.com/compatibility/

At the moment I've put there the extensions mentioned in this thread. The main purpose of this list is to make it easier to maintain than the list in this thread or in the Mozilla wiki and to make it the central one and 'official' (if we may call it so...). Also, if anyone can help with maintaining the list - adding, testing and editing extensions (however often you can or want to) - then please let me know.

I'm looking for ideas on how to get most people to help maintain the list. Some of current ideas:

  • make the registration to the list management area available for everyone - so that it becomes community edited like a wiki (should we be worried at the moment about potentially lower testing quality of extensions?)
  • add possibility to add comments to each extension that will show immediately
  • add possibility to submit new extensions by anonymous people that will be flagged as untested until verified by a registered editor
  • when converting an extension provide an optional field for email address so that a few days later the converter will send a request for feedback

The simpler the solution the better since I have limited time to work on this 8-) In the future this list may serve as the database for the AMO browsing extension but that is not happening yet.

Any comments and suggestions about this list are welcome! :D

Is it appropriate to post links to [converted] extension hacks in this thread?

Or is the following thread more suitable? (that thread seems dead)

I think manual extension hacks are better suited in other threads but short mentions like this are welcome - we can add links to those hacks to the compatibility notes for those really determined!

I have some more:
Force Content-Type 1.2.2.1 - works
Long URL Please Mod 0.5.1.1 - works, but not 100% effective (maybe list not up to date?)
Modify Response Headers 0.7.1.1-v1.05.1 - works
URL n Extension Block(UnE Block) 2.9.20.1 - works
Video Downloader professional 1.97.37.1 (newer version) - works

Thanks, updated the list. However, URL n Extension Block only works partially, I'd say 50% of the blocking options work.

I am just using the blocklist, which works for me. I just checked the javascript files that are supposed to be sent with this page, from googlesyndication and google-analytics, and there is no size indicated, meaning that they are being blocked.

I have another one, added today out of necessity:
Version Number in Add-ons Manager 1.04 - works by putting the version number underneath the title

Added to the list. But there is also https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/seamon ... ionnumber/, which is native to SeaMonkey.

Yes, it works out of the box for SeaMonkey, as the description correctly states: "Restores add-on version number inside Add-on Manager for latest builds of Firefox, Thunderbird and Seamonkey." (despite the typo ;-) )

I tried the amversionnumber extension, but since I like to view the add-ons in a separate window (courtesy of MR Tech Toolkit), I was not seeing version numbers there, but only if I viewed add-ons in a tab.
